Werder Bremen 0-1 Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich set a new Bundesliga record of nine straight wins from the start of the season with a 1-0 victory at Werder Bremen.
Thomas Muller's 23rd-minute goal was enough for the Bavarians to extend their lead at the top of the table to seven points and head to London in confident mood to face Arsenal in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Bremen had chances to level late on, but Bayern held for a record-breaking victory.
A well-worked counter-attack saw Melvyn Lorenzen get a shot in on Manuel Neuer's goal in the 12th minute, but that only punctuated what had been relentless Bayern pressure in the opening exchanges.
Robert Lewandowski, on a remarkable run of goalscoring form, was unable to net again as he headed into the side-netting as Bayern turned up the heat on their hosts.
The constant pressure paid off midway through the first half when Thiago Alcantara lifted the ball over the top of the Bremen defence and Muller converted at the second attempt, with the ball initially getting stuck under his foot.
Arturo Vidal twice got pulled up for offsides when in promising positions, while Muller again connected with another delightful lobbed pass from Thiago, only to miss the target on the volley.
Midway through the second half, Bremen went close to levelling when Anthony Ujah stole in behind Juan Bernat at the far post, but Neuer blocked his shot behind for a corner.
Urged on by a vociferous Weserstadion crowd, Bremen started to build up a head of steam, although they nearly gave away a second when Lewandowski was put through, but Felix Wiedwald raced from his goal to snatch the ball, flattening the Pole in the process.
Ujah dragged another shot wide back at the other end, but, despite their efforts, they could not find an equaliser, not even with former Bayern forward Claudio Pizarro on as an additional forward.
