Even with star forward Neymar starting on the bench, Brazil appeared ready to begin World Cup qualifying as they pressured the U.S. from the start.

His high cross caromed off the inside of the far post before falling right into the path of Hulk, who fired into the back of the net.

Rafinha scored his first international goal in the 64th minute following a counter-attack. The Barcelona forward danced with the ball at his feet to shake U.S. defender Tim Ream and shoot past Guzan to make it 3-0.
Soon after, Rafinha stepped over a pass and Neymar had plenty of time to score at the near post to extend the advantage to 4-0.
Rafinha could quickly have made it 5-0 but his shot from 12 yards rolled past the post.
Klinsmann put on forwards Bobby Wood, Jordan Morris and Aron Johannsson, but a scuffed shot from Mix Diskerud with seven minutes to play was the most the U.S. subs could muster until stoppage time.
Williams was given space and shook off some frustration by unleashing a rocket from 30 yards that was small consolation for the outmatched Americans.
