Malaga held to draw by Las Palmas

Malaga's four-match winning run in the Primera Division ended with a 1-1 draw against Las Palmas on Gran Canaria.
Roque Santa Cruz rescued a point for the visitors, extending their unbeaten run to seven league games, after Pedro Tana had opened the scoring.
There were opportunities at both ends early on. Jonathan Viera went close with a long-range effort before Duje Cop headed a chance over the crossbar for Malaga and home goalkeeper Herrera Javi Varas produced a fine save from Raul Albentosa's header.
Varas then had to get down well to deny Jose Recio in the 11th minute.
The fast tempo did not continue and it was not until the start of the second half that either keeper was troubled again, when Varas helped Santa Cruz's header over the bar.
Las Palmas went in front after 51 minutes. Sergio Araujo spotted Tana in space and and his shot from outside the area had too much pace for Malaga keeper Carlos Kameni and the ball nestled in the bottom left corner of the net.
Cop could have equalised immediately but he sent his effort too high. However, he made amends in the 72nd minute by setting up Santa Cruz and the former Manchester City striker beat Varas with a right-foot strike.
Substitute Willian Jose almost ensured a third straight home league victory for Las Palmas but Kameni kept out his header in the fourth minute of injury time.
