Strugglers Levante draw with Deportivo to earn first point under new boss

Levante came from behind to draw 1-1 with Deportivo La Coruna and earn their first Primera Division point under new coach Rubi.
Lucas Perez had given the visitors the lead midway through the first half against the run of play, but Levante's energetic approached paid off after half-time, with Victor Camarasa levelling with a free-kick.
The draw is not enough to take Levante off the bottom of the table but is an improvement on Rubi's baptism of fire at the Mestalla, where his side lost 3-0 to local rivals Valencia, and they are just two points from escaping the relegation zone.
In stark contrast to his predecessor Lucas Alcaraz, Rubi has already got his side playing possession football and his men sought to take the initiative in the game while Deportivo sat back looking to soak up the pressure.
However, the Galicians were the first to create an opening, with defender Sidnei hitting the bar following a corner.
His side took the lead nonetheless just a matter of minutes later, Perez adding to his equalising goal against Atletico Madrid last weekend by scoring with a left-footed finish.
Levante stuck with the same approach and found a way back into the game 10 minutes into the second half, although they benefited from some risky goalkeeping from the Deportivo goalkeeper German Lux.
The Argentine surrendered possession and Levante broke quickly, forcing a free-kick in a dangerous position.
The Depor wall was poorly organised and opened up as Camarasa took aim, powering his shot past a helpless Lux.
