Celta Vigo maintain impressive start with comfortable home win

Celta Vigo continued their 100 percent start to their Primera Division campaign by easing to a 3-0 victory over 10-man Rayo Vallecano.
The visitors had goalkeeper Tono sent off when the game was barely 10 minutes old and Nolito converted the subsequent penalty to put Eduardo Berrizo's side on their way to a second successive victory. The Celta forward struck again early in the second half, while midfielder Andreu Fontas added a third moments before the final whistle.
Rayo were thrashed 6-1 at Balaidos last season and coach Paco Jemez must have braced himself for a similar result when he saw Tono bring down Daniel Wass when the Dane was clean through on goal.
The goalkeeper was predictably shown a red card and Nolito sent substitute stopper Juan Carlos the wrong way to put Celta on their way to victory.
Juan Carlos did manage to deny Iago Aspas a goal before the break as Rayo coped well under the circumstances, but just five minutes after the restart they found themselves another goal behind.
Pablo Hernandez intercepted a stray pass from Rayo midfielder Raul Baena and the Chilean set Nolito up for his second goal of the evening.
Then the Spain international turned provider for his side's final goal, sending a free-kick into the heart of the area for Fontas to ram past Juan Carlos and into the net.
