Montreal Impact beat Pachuca with late goal to advance to CCL semifinal

The Montreal Impact are moving on in the CONCACAF Champions League after a late goal vs. Pachuca gave them a 1-1 draw for the match and saw them advance on the away goals rule by a final score of 3-3.

Cameron Porter scored in injury time off an assist from Calum Mallace to shock Liga MX side Pachuca, who Montreal battled to a 2-2 draw in Mexico one week ago.

Pachuca dominated possession by a margin of almost two-to-one, but Montreal still managed nine shots, with five on target, the last being the most important as Porter's goal made the Impact the first Canadian team to win a two-legged tie vs. a Mexican opponent in CONCACAF Champions League history.

Montreal will face the winner of the of Alajuelense and D.C. United, who play on Wednesday at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C. Costa Rican side Alajuelense hold a 5-2 lead on the MLS outfit in that tie.
