Neymar and Luis Suarez continued their superb scoring run to shock Real Madrid and send Barcelona on their way to a 4-0 Clasico thrashing at the Bernabeu.
Lionel Messi was only fit enough for the Barca bench after returning from nearly two months on the sidelines with a knee injury, but Neymar and Suarez carried on their fine form with first-half strikes before Andres Iniesta and Suarez added two more after the break.
Suarez opened the scoring for Luis Enrique's side 11 minutes in, clinically netting a first-time finish around Keylor Navas with the outside of his right boot following a fine run and pass from Sergi Roberto -- who started in Messi's absence.
Madrid could not cope with Barca's movement, and Neymar made it two six minutes from the interval as he latched onto a cute through-ball from Andres Iniesta before rolling the ball underneath Navas via a deflection off the Blancos goalkeeper.
Barca almost made it three in first-half stoppage time as Neymar beat a number of Madrid challenges to tee up Suarez, but Marcelo headed the Uruguay forward's effort off the line before Ivan Rakitic's follow-up was desperately blocked away.
The Bernabeu crowd whistled Madrid off the pitch at the interval while some waving white handkerchiefs after a listless opening 45 minutes, though Madrid initially improved after the break.
Marcelo should have done better with a wild near-post shot when teammates were better placed a minute after the restart, while James Rodriguez forced Claudio Bravo into a fine low stop with a 25-yard effort two minutes later.
But Barca were not content to sit back on their two-goal lead, with Neymar drawing an athletic stop from Navas from a 25-yard free kick which the keeper clawed over his var 51 minutes in.
Madrid did not heed the warning as Iniesta soon blasted in Barca's third -- and his first league goal since March 2014, also against Madrid -- smashing the ball past Navas after a delightful back-heel assist from Neymar.
Barca were tearing Madrid to shreds as Suarez wasted a fine chance to add a fourth from close range 55 minutes in, and things got worse as Luis Enrique then brought on Messi for Rakitic for his first appearance since September.
Madrid had no luck in front of goal as Cristiano Ronaldo was denied a point-blank effort by Bravo 22 minutes from time, while Suarez showed the composure Ronaldo was sorely lacking as he raced through before cheekily lobbing Navas from close range.
The humiliation continued for Madrid as Isco was shown a straight red card for a lunging hack on Neymar five minutes from time as Los Blancos lost their composure.
Substitute Munir El Haddadi should have made it five near the end but shot wide from 15 yards with Gerard Pique also well placed to score, though the match was already well over as Barca moved six points clear at the top of La Liga.
