WASHINGTON -- Raul Ruidiaz, Andy Polo and Yoshimar Yotun scored in Peru's 3-1 victory over El Salvador 3-1 on Saturday night in an international friendly at RFK Stadium one week ahead of the Copa America. Ruidiaz opened the scoring in the 11th minute, winning a loose ball in the middle of a trio of defenders and sending a one-hopper into the left side of the goal from 30 yards out. Andy Polo's header off Edison Flores' looping cross made it 2-0 in the 60th minute. El Salvador closed the deficit to one on Nelson Bonilla's close-range header in the 81st minute. But Yoshimar Yotun clinched it for Peru with a stoppage-time goal. Peru will open the group stage of Copa America next Saturday against Haiti. El Salvador did not qualify for the tournament.
