El pitcher zurdo, que en 2009 lanzó un juego perfecto, fue retirado del montículo después de permitir un sencillo y dar un pasaporte en el octavo episodio. Permitió en total cuatro imparables, ponchó a tres bateadores y otorgó tres bases por bolas.
Corey Kluber (1-2) recibió cinco anotaciones en seis entradas y dos tercios.
