The RBS 6 Nations on ESPN

Coverage of one of the world's most prestigious rugby union competitions closes this month with final action from the RBS 6 Nations airing on ESPN/ESPN2. Starring England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales, the tournament has evolved over the years to become one of the key dates on the world rugby calendar. From its roots as the Home Nations Championship in 1883, it became known as the Five Nations when France joined, and earned its current name as the Six Nations with the entry of Italy in 2000.

While Ireland did the celebrating last year, defeating France in Paris for only the second time in over 40 years, a repeat will be a tough feat for the Irish. England, France and Wales - between them having won since 2000 all but the two titles claimed by Ireland - remain the major powers in the Six Nations.
