Gonzalo Higuain double inspires Napoli to Serie A win at Atalanta

Gonzalo Higuain's brace helped Napoli to a 3-1 win over Atalanta and back up to third in Serie A.
The Argentina striker now leads the scoring charts with 16 goals and Marek Hamsik's penalty ensured Maurizio Sarri's side took all three points at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia.
Jorginho's sending off gave hope to the hosts, whose goal came from Alejandro Gomez, but it could have been worse had Hamsik netted a second spot-kick after Gabriel Paletta was shown red late on.
Atalanta's Maxi Moralez was first to threaten, but Higuain came closer in the 14th minute when racing onto Elseid Hysaj's pass.
Seven minutes after the break Napoli were awarded a penalty when Marten de Roon handled a cross. Hamsik blasted the spot-kick under the crossbar, but Atalanta would soon draw level.
German Denis provided the assist for Gomez, who fizzed the ball past Jose Reina and into the net.
Napoli restored their lead just after the hour mark as Higuain brought up his 15th goal of the season with a header from a corner.
Atalanta scented blood when Jorginho was sent off for picking up a pair of yellow cards for his fouls on Gomez and De Roon, and they pushed forward enthusiastically.
But try as they might it was not to be their day and Higuain confirmed the outcome with five minutes remaining.
Hamsik's pass possessed pinpoint precision and his team-mate just needed to touch the ball beyond Davide Bassi.
The stoppage-time dismissal of Paletta for a foul on Dries Mertens offered Hamsik a chance to make it 4-1 from the spot, but the Slovakian fired his penalty well over the bar.
