Graham Zusi and Sporting Kansas City cruise past 10-man FC Dallas

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Krisztian Nemeth had a goal and an assist as Sporting Kansas City beat FC Dallas 4-0 on Friday night.

Sporting KC extended its unbeaten streak to six games, and avenged a 3-1 loss to Dallas in March. Graham Zusi had a goal and two assists, Kevin Ellis added a goal and an assist, and Benny Feilhaber also scored.

Zusi's free kick in the 19th minute from the right wing found Kevin Ellis in the box. Eliis headed it far post, where Nemeth calmly tapped it in with his head for the forward's sixth goal of the season.

Just before the half, Dallas lost Zach Loyd, as a flagrant tackle earned him his second booking of the game and a subsequent red card. After play picked back up, Kansas City's Tim Melia made a nice sliding save on Tesho Akindele's effort on a through ball from Ryan Hollingshead. It was Melia's sole save en route to his third shutout of the season.

The effort of playing a man down started to take its toll on Dallas quickly. In the 51st minute, Nemeth turned around two defenders in the box and found Feilhaber alone for a 2-0 lead. Ellis pounded a header home six minutes later from the top of the box off a corner from Zusi.

Kansas City kept pouring it on. Connor Hallisey used a back heel pass to set up Zusi, who blasted in a point-blank shot in the 64th.
