Atletico Madrid ease past Granada to keep pressure on Barcelona

Atletico Madrid built on their Champions League success over Barcelona by beating Granada 3-0 to pile extra pressure on Luis Enrique's side in the title race.
Koke opened the scoring in the 15th minute and in the second half teed up Fernando Torres to score for the fourth game in a row to put the hosts further at ease, while substitute Angel Correa grabbed the third late on.
Diego Simeone's side remain hot on Barca's heels after a third successive league win, while Granada are just one point above the relegation zone.
Montenegro defender Stefan Savic made his first start in almost two months and usual centre-back Lucas Hernandez deputised at left-back for the suspended Filipe Luis.
Just as against Barcelona, Atletico made a rampant start and could have taken the lead as early as the second minute, Koke collecting a pass from Juanfran in the area and striking high over the bar.
The Spain midfielder did not have to wait much longer to score though. Lucas came down the left to cut the ball back to Torres and his shot was blocked, but Koke rammed the loose ball past Andres Fernandez to score his fifth league goal of the season.
Granada were not rattled by conceding and nearly hit back through winger Ruben Rochina, who let fly from outside the area and struck the top of the near post.
Torres put Atletico at ease by doubling the lead just before the hour mark, collecting a low through ball from Koke and dinking it over the onrushing Andres Fernandez, scoring his fourth goal in as many games, each time assisted by Koke.
Antoine Griezmann was unable to influence proceedings after scoring both goals in the win over Barcelona, but substitute Correa made his mark on the game after replacing the France international on 63 minutes. The Argentine raced between two Granada defenders to reach a through ball from Saul Niguez and stormed into the box, producing a fine finish into the far corner.
The only negative for Atletico was a booking for Gabi, ruling the influential captain out of Wednesday's testing trip to Athletic Bilbao through suspension.
