Kiko Casilla scores winner as Real Madrid beat AC Milan on penalties

Real Madrid won the Chinese edition of the International Champions Cup on Thursday by beating AC Milan 10-9 on penalties following a 0-0 draw in Shanghai.

Madrid goalkeeper Kiko Casilla converted with a right-footed shot to the top left corner and then saved opposing keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma's attempt.

Milan's Carlos Bacca missed wide earlier in the shootout, giving Toni Kroos had a chance to win it in the fifth round, but Donnarumma stopped his shot.

James Rodriguez, Marcelo, Casemiro, Sergio Ramos, Dani Carvajal, Nacho, Denis Cherysev, Isco, and Jese all converted penalties for Real.

Milan saw successful penalties from Nigel De Jong, Alessandro Matri, Keisuke Honda, Luiz Adriano, Riccardo Montolivo, Cristian Zapata, Jose Mauri, Davide Calabria, and Gabriel Paletta.

Casilla also made the top play in the preceding 90 minutes, stopping Bacca one-on-one in the 81st minute.

Real Madrid beat Inter Milan 3-0 in Guangzhou on Monday.

The Chinese zone of the preseason tournament featured Real Madrid, Milan and Inter Milan. Real also won the Australian edition of the event this summer.
